This
day was my first teaching practice day. I teach on Kindergarten 2 at Kru Yu’s
class. I teach at circle time and art center at about 10.00 – 11.00 a.m. Unit
learning for this week was mother’s day that would be held at 12 August 2016 in
Thailand to celebrate queen’s birth day.
The
sub unit learning for this day was “pregnant mother” and my lesson plan was
made a mommy stick. So first I have to explain about pregnant mother to develop
and train the children’s insight. For sure, I was really confused about how to
explain pregnant mother to children.
Moreover that was my first time to teach kindergarten children, even in
Indonesia I never teach children yet. Hahaha
But then I used a video about pregnant mother and I showed it to the children.
That video was about 3 minutes in English, but I thought that the children
could see the video but didn’t understand what it was. I tried to explain to
them with my words, but I still thought that they didn’t understand until the
teacher explained it in Thai language.
Actually,
this video was from commercial advertisement product about milk for pregnant
women. I downloaded it from you tube and I showed it to children, because I
thought this video was good and when I showed it to Kru Yu, she also said okay.

After
circle time, we enter the art center and that was time to made a mommy
stick. There were four group that did the art activity (cupcake group, giraffe
group, flower group, and watermelon group), there about 5 to 6 children per
group. I thought that children group was more effective because it could make
more easy to control the children.
Here,
we made mommy stick for our mommy.
First time I teach, I run out time for “my feeling book” because the children
had to lunch. So I just got some children for it. But then we did the “my
feeling book” to show our feeling at the last of class.
And
here, our mommy sticks.
For
this day, my teacher in class said that I was good specially for preparing
material but must be better at time managing. Thank you to Kru Yu for the
suggestions, I will always try my best.

Difficulty of languages and
communication

Difficulty of control the children
3.
Difficulty of time managing
